Bolesworth Castle provided a stunning backdrop for a Summer Ball in aid of the British Olympic equestrian team.

More than 400 guests, many of them local riders and competitors, attended the ball and enjoyed a packed evening of entertainment including, for the more adventurous, a chance to try their hand at bungee jumping.

Anthony Barbour said: “We were delighted to be able to host this event in aid of the British equestrian team. Their strong performance in Athens was impressive and they are now preparing for other major international competitions so events like this, in support of the team, are very important.”
